Generate strong passwords, hash and encrypt data with the browser’s native WebCrypto — secrets never touch the network.

16 tools, all running in your browser.

Move across to type DEVICE · ← → · Space key V → lamp K · rotors 10 16 07

Each key press turns the rotors before the current flows, so the same letter lights a different lamp each time. The encryption tools here use your browser’s own cryptography, on your device.

CRC32 Calculator Calculate the CRC-32 of text or a file in hex and decimal — the same checksum ZIP archives and PNG chunks use to detect corruption. File Comparison Check whether two files are byte-identical. Hashes both with SHA-256, shows the digests side by side and pinpoints the first differing byte offset. File Hash Checker Hash any file with SHA-256, SHA-512, SHA-1 or MD5 and compare it against a published checksum. Streams multi-gigabyte files without uploading a byte. HMAC Generator Generate HMAC-SHA1, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 codes from a secret and a message, in hex or Base64 — ideal for debugging webhooks. HOTP Generator Generate RFC 4226 counter-based one-time passwords, step the counter by hand, and resynchronise a drifted token with a look-ahead check. MD5 Hash Generator Generate an MD5 checksum of text or a file of any size, compare it against a published value, and read an honest note on where MD5 is safe. Passphrase Generator Build memorable diceware passphrases from a 1,024-word list, with separators, capitalisation and the exact entropy in bits. Fully offline in your browser. PIN Generator Generate random 4 to 12 digit PINs in bulk, with an optional filter that rejects birthdays, years, repeats, runs and the codes thieves try first. Random String Generator Generate random strings from hex, base64url, alphanumeric or custom character sets, in bulk, with prefixes, suffixes and an exact entropy readout. SHA-1 Hash Generator Compute SHA-1 digests of text or files with the browser’s native WebCrypto, compare against an expected value, and see why Git still uses it. SHA-512 Hash Generator Produce 512-bit SHA-2 digests of text or files entirely in your browser, with an expected-value comparison and the other algorithms alongside.
