Does deleting a page really remove the content?
Yes. The surviving pages are copied into a brand-new document rather than the deleted ones being hidden, so the removed page's text and images are not carried over — they are not recoverable from the output by scrolling, searching or examining the file. That is different from a redaction box drawn over content, which leaves the underlying text in place and is a well-known way to leak information.
Resources shared with the remaining pages, such as an embedded font, are still copied. That is expected: fonts are not private content.
Delete, extract or split?
- Delete pages when most of the document stays and a few pages go.
- Extract pages when only a few pages stay — and when their order matters.
- Split when you want several documents out of one, not a single trimmed file.
All three run entirely in your browser, and none of them modifies the file you dropped in; each one hands you a new document to download.
Questions
How do I delete a range of pages?
Type it in the range box — 2, 5-9, 20- deletes page 2, pages 5 to 9, and everything from page 20 to the end. The grid highlights every page that will go.
Can I delete all the even or odd pages?
Yes. The odd and even shortcuts select those pages instantly, which is the fastest way to drop the blank backs of a duplex scan.
Does deleting pages shrink the file?
Usually yes, because the images and fonts used only by those pages are left behind when the remaining pages are copied into a fresh document.
Is my original file changed?
No. Nothing is written back to disk — you get a new PDF to download and the file you selected stays exactly as it was.
