4xx Client Error
418 I'm a teapot
An April Fools joke from 1998 that became a permanent fixture. The teapot refuses to brew coffee.
What causes it
- Someone implemented it deliberately, or an API is using it as a decoy for bot traffic.
How to fix it
- Never use it in production. It is reserved by IANA specifically so nobody assigns 418 to a real meaning.
